Product recall : amiodarone hydrochloride batches

All remaining stock of certain batches of amiodarone hydrochloride concentrate for solution for injection or infusion 50mg/ml is being recalled, following a class 3 medicines recall issued by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.

The recall follows on from the class 4 caution in use notice issued by the MHRA in December 2009 after the discovery of particles in some ampoules of amiodarone, which is manufactured by Aurum Pharmaceuticals.
